Today, Melania Trump released a statement decrying the “unfound [sic] and baseless lies” about her connections with Jeffrey Epstein, and, according to AP, she “also called on Congress to hold a public hearing centered on survivors of Epstein’s crimes, with a chance to testify before lawmakers and have their stories entered into the congressional record.”
Reporting on the statement reflects some puzzlement about the timing of the statement, but that’s neither here nor there. What is significant is that there’s apparently at least one person in Trump’s circle who doesn’t want Trump to sweep the Epstein scandal under the rug.
I guess things are going great in the Donald-Melania relationship.
