Multiple news outlets, including the New York Times, are reporting that President Tump says that Don Jr. will pay back the Russian oligarch—I mean “businessman”— who paid for Don Jr.’s wedding after-party.
Of course he will. Right. Sure. Definitely. Why would I doubt that?
Oh, and Trump added that the gift was “totally allowed.”
Whatever the strict letter of the law may be, it’s the appearance of impropriety that’s the problem here. Of course, whenever impropriety puts in an appearance, you can count on a Trump or two to be around to welcome it.
