The Moron-in-Chief has signed an Executive Order renaming Lake Ontario as “Lake America.”
This, of course, is just another distraction from his failed war, which was a distraction from a bunch of other failures, each of which was, in turn, a distraction from the previous failures, until we get back to . . . the Epstein files.
The renaming of Lake Ontario, however, feels singularly pathetic: A rage against the coming night. And yes, old man, you are fading. We see it before our very eyes.
But back to “Lake America.” I have some questions.
Was this Trump’s idea or is this something that his 35-year-old adoring fan girl and human printer came up with? It’s just stupid enough that they probably concocted it together. You know, at one of those late night meetings.
Does he think that renaming things makes him look like a king?
Does he think renaming the lake is going to change his dreadful polling?
Does he think Canadians actually care about what he and his Administration call the Lake?
Does he think we Americans–at least those of us who aren’t vacant-eyed, empty-headed members of the cult–care?
Does he realize how petulant and stupid this makes him look?
Is he going to arrest us when we continue to say “Lake Ontario”? What about when we say “Gulf of Mexico”? The title to this post would be a test of that but, to be honest, I doubt that anyone in the Administration is reading this blog.
